The Department for Education's Sustainability and Climate Change Strategy encourages every education setting to appoint a Sustainability Lead to help embed environmental awareness across the whole school community.

Lasting change begins by inspiring children. When pupils understand how to reduce waste, recycle responsibly and value the resources they use every day, they develop habits that can make a real difference both in school and beyond.
